As a City Council member and lifelong resident of Manassas Park, I have spoken with many of my fellow community members. They care about this community and want to see it prosper, just as much as I do. For decades, Manassas Park residents repeatedly faced one of the highest real estate tax rates in Virginia. These residents have continually asked me and other city leaders to reduce their financial burden. New tax revenues from the expanding gaming industry in Virginia could make a huge difference.
